Angel's Trumpet - Multiple Varieties

Genus is native to tropical cloud forests of South America from Venezuela to southern Brazil. Flowers are fragrant at dusk but can be toxic and deadly if inhaled deeply for a prolonged length of time. Available in pink, yellow and white blooms. A green and white variegated cultivar is available from time-to-time.

Best used as a flowering ornamental shrub tucked in with other broadleaf tropicals such as Alocasias, Cordylines and Gingers. While tolerant of full sun, a bit of shade after mid-day is helpful. Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months. Prune back by half in late March to encourage robust growth in spring and summer.
