Not quite exotic-looking as its sibling Chenille hispida bush and tree, but can still catch one's eyes when planted en masse as a groundcover. Native to the East Indies.
Year-round fuzzy and red blooms, not unlike that of chenille fabric.
Use as a groundcover in a border to define a bed. Also perfect in mixed container gardens or by itself in a hanging basket or raised pot.
Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months.
