Bird of Paradise - Orange and Mandela's Gold

Native to South Africa, a clumping, herbaceous perennial with stiff upright foliage. Always showy when in bloom and perfect for floral arrangements.

  • Exotic orange and blue flowers shaped like a bird's head
  • Mandela's Gold flower is more yellow
  • Tolerates light salt drift

Use as an anchoring centerpiece for other foundation plants such as Dwarf Allamanda, Crown of Thorns, Red Velvet and Blue Plumbago. Also ideal as a potted plant by a sunny patio where the bloom can be enjoyed. Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months. Remove wilted spears to keep a neat appearance.
