Cassia - Bahamian and Other Varieties

Bahamian cassia is the only Cassia native to South Florida and is a food source for Cloudless Sulphur, Sleepy Orange and Orange-barred Sulphur butterflies. We also carry with varying availability other Cassias such as Popcorn, Candlestick, Apple Blossom, Cherry Blossom and Golden Shower.

Attracts Humming-birds

Use as a large shrub or small tree for a butterfly garden, combined with Firebush, Firespike, Milkweed, Passiflora, Salvias and Porterweed. Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months. Prune back periodically to maintain desired shape.
