Colorful foliage and flowering shrub named after Jose Sanchez, a botany professor at the University of Cadiz, Spain. Native to Panama and Colombia. Also available as Sanchezia speciosa (common name Singapore) which is native to Southeast Asia.

Cluster a group around shady areas under a palm or tree and let it ramble naturally. Best in partial sun for full color variegation of foliage. Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months. Cut back periodically to promote new growth and blooms. Foliage may show cosmetic blemishes or drop when temperatures drop below 45F for an extended period.
