Plant en masse for optimal visual effect. Drip irrigation or hand-watering: avoid overhead sprinkler irrigation. Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months. Hard-prune at beginning of summer and keep well-trimmed through summer, especially August and September when rainfall can be heaviest.
