A mounding, low-growing evergreen perennial native to the Caribbean. The genus name is from the Latin 'pileus', or 'felt cap', an apt description of its petals.

Use as a low border in front of other shrubs or perennials. Perfect for formal gardens as it can sheared. Also ideal in mixed containers as a neutral filler to highlight other flowering plants. Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months. Trim back periodically to desired size.
