Olive - 'Arbequina'

Arbequina is native to Catalonia, Spain where it was first planted in the 1600s. While noted for producing aromatic and high oil content fruit in dry Mediterranean climates, this is less likely to occur in the wet and humid South Florida climate.

Along with Manzanillo, makes up most of the olive crop in California

Ideal as a potted ornamental specimen in a sunny patio. Can be planted in ground but should be in a raised bed to allow proper drainage, especially during the wet season. While drought tolerant, a weekly deep drench during the dry season is helpful for healthy growth.
