Simpson's Stopper

Flowering and fruiting shrub or medium tree native to Florida. Foliage emits a sweet fragrance when brushed against. A variegated cultivar called 'Stoppermorph' is available occasionally.

  • Masses of white blooms in spring and autumn, followed by red berries
  • Flowers attract pollinators, berries a food source for birds and turtles
  • Tolerates direct salt spray
