Stunning when in bloom with orange flowers reminiscent of the hats worn by the mandarins in the court of the Chinese emperors. Native to the foothills of the Himalayas in India and Nepal. Also occasionally available with blooms in yellow green and lavender pink.

Attach to an arbor or pergola or train to wrap around a column. Can also be trained into a tree. Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months. Prune back by half in late March to encourage robust growth in spring and summer.
