One of the loveliest of ornamental grasses, the plumes of this North American native resemble those of Pampas Grass. Related to the sugar cane and not a Pampas Grass.

Use for screening or as backdrop for other shorter ornamental grasses such as Liriope or Pennisetum. Be sure to plant in well-draining soil as standing water will stunt growth or cause canes to drop over.
