Spectacular flowering shrub with blooms just like the hydrangea. The 'Seminole' cultivar is a hybrid of the South African native, with a smaller branching habit, lower mature height and more frequent and quantity of blooms. 'White Cloud' is also available occasionally in very limited quantities.

Use as a specimen accent or plant many to create an informal hedge or screen. Best in an open area as a background, bordered by low foundation shrubs or ground cover. Feed with a slow-release 14-14-14 granular fertilizer every three months. Prune back hard by 90% after last bloom cycle (typically May) and continue to prune back all summer as needed to keep at about 3 feet high and wide. Stop pruning in October just before first blooms appear in November. Prune lightly to keep in shape during bloom season.
